Before anything else, the good news: you do not need to sign in to use liveplanner. The editor always works without an account, so a sign-in problem never blocks you from building or sharing a plan. You can continue as a guest and sort the account out later. With that safety net in mind, here is how to get sign-in working.
First, keep working
If sign-in is failing and you just want to get on with it, leave the sign-in page and head straight to a new plan or the Explorer. Everything works: persistence, sharing by link, and real-time collaboration. When you sign up or sign in later, the plans you built as a guest move into your account automatically, so nothing is lost, and you're offered the chance to move any plans in This Browser. See working as a guest.
Sign-in checklist
- Check the email code. Sign-in uses a 6-digit code sent to your email from liveworkspace. Look in spam, and ask for a fresh code on the sign-in page if the first is slow or has expired.
- Use the same email you originally signed up with. A new email makes a new, empty account.
- Start again from liveplanner. If the sign-in page says the sign-in had expired or did not finish, choose Try again. This happens when a sign-in sat open for more than ten minutes, or was started in another tab.
- Allow cookies for both sites. Signing in passes between liveplanner.app and liveworkspace.app in the same tab. A browser set to block all cookies, or a privacy extension, can stop it finishing. Try an incognito window with extensions off.
If sign-in is not available at all
Sometimes sign-in is simply not turned on. This is a fully supported mode, not an error.
If you are on the hosted site, expected sign-in to work, and it still will not complete after the checklist above, contact us with the email address you are using and the error you see. Keep working as a guest in the meantime, your plans are safe.
