Recent lists the 12 items you opened most recently, newest first, so the work in progress is always one click away. Find it under Library in the More group of the Explorer sidebar, or press See More beside Jump Back In on Home. The breadcrumb at the top, Home › Recent, leads back.
What lands here
Recent goes by when you last opened something: your own items, your teams' and the ones shared with you. Opening an item is private, so your Recent is yours alone, and nobody else sees what you opened.
It is a view across your whole library, not a folder of its own: an item appearing in Recent has not been moved or copied, and you will still find it in its folder.
With Plans chosen at the top of the page, Recent shows only plans; with All Apps, it shows what you opened in every liveworkspace app.
Working from Recent
- Open an item by clicking it.
- Switch between List, Card and Details views with the buttons at the top right. Since Recent mixes your plans with other people's, it adds an Owner column: You, the team's name, or Shared with you.
- Type in the Explorer's search box to filter the list.
- Each item's ⋯ menu (or a right-click) carries the same actions as anywhere else in the Explorer.
- New Plan makes a plan in My Work.
Hide from Recent
To keep an item out of Recent, choose Hide from Recent from its ⋯ menu. It leaves Recent and Jump Back In on Home, and the next most recent takes its place; it stays everywhere else, in its folder, in search and in Favourites. Hiding is yours alone: on a shared or team plan, nobody else's Recent changes. To bring it back, choose Show in Recent from the same menu, wherever the item is listed.
Seeing where an item lives
Recent spans every folder, so each item shows a small chip naming the folder it sits in: its team for a team item in no folder, or My Work for one of yours in none. Click the chip to jump straight to that folder instead of opening the item. An item shared with you through a link lives in someone else's library, so it has no chip.
A guest's Recent is kept for their guest identity, and signing in carries it into the account with everything else.
