Sharing One Tab

Scope a share link to one tab; the rest of the plan stays private.

A share link normally opens the whole plan, every tab of it. Sometimes you only want to show one: the roadmap to a client, but not the pricing tab next to it. A link scoped to one tab does exactly that, without copying the tab into a new plan.

In the Share dialog, Opens chooses what a new link opens. Leave it on Every tab for an ordinary link, or pick the tab you want to share, then press Create and Copy Link. The level still applies: a one-tab link can be a Viewer, Participant or Editor link.

You can make as many links as you like, each scoped differently: one tab to one person, another tab to someone else, and an Every tab link for your team. A link opens one tab or all of them; it can't open a chosen handful.

What the visitor sees

Someone opening a one-tab link lands straight on that tab. The other tabs stay in their tab bar as Not shared pills, so they know the plan has more, but without names, and nothing happens when they press one (hovering says "This tab isn't shared with you").

A visitor on a one-tab link: the shared Roadmap tab, with the rest of the plan shown as Not shared pills.

The other tabs are private, not just hidden. Their content never reaches the visitor's browser: not their boards, Sheets or forms, not their names, not their comments, not their live edits. With an Editor link the visitor can change their tab, but not rename, add, reorder, lock or delete tabs, or rename the plan.

The scope follows the link everywhere it goes: an embed or a live image made from it shows its tab only.

Every link in the Share dialog's Links list has a tab menu beside its level. Change it at any time: widen a one-tab link to Every tab, narrow an Every tab link to one tab, or move it to another tab. The link's address stays the same, and the people using it see the change within a few minutes.
